i would normally hate almost everything about this video. good thing her voice and her attitude overwhelm the rest of it. hell, she could be singing about hate crimes and i’d probably be enraptured.
this gil scott-heron, jaime xx remix album “we’re new here” is my first new favorite record of the year.
this is the last track. i’m sort of ruining the ending by putting this up here to listen to, but you probably won’t mind.

that’s ridiculous to say.

make the most of it.

today’s thoughts are being washed out by the loud whiner: “you’re almost 26, you’re supposed to be striving!”
is there a striving primer somewhere? is the only solution for an old head genuinely speed / adderall / antidepressants? i hate pills, man. is there no other way to manufacture willpower? i can’t focus on the goal long enough to keep it together. i only work to avoid failing others. i need to sign a life contract.
also, clearly, winter needs to fuck off.

LCD Soundsystem just announced their farewell show. April 2nd, Madison Square Garden. a 3 hour friends and family extravaganza.
i suppose i’ll have to go to that.
how many cowbells can you fit on stage at once? i think i’ll find out.

the mc5 is the only thing keeping me moving tonight. well, that and the coffee and the bubble hash.

note to self: keep your head up. you’re the only one who can let it drop.

this just made my day. that is just a fat stinky groove.

second verse just kills me. if you walk past my bedroom while it’s playing, i’m a 12 year old yelling taylor swift songs into a hair brush.

i need to get out of the house. winter fever in full effect. i can’t realistically retire to a coffee house at 6:00pm if i have to wake up at 4:00am for work, can i?

8 hours of work in and it’s not even 2pm. sundays. oof.

saw Kylesa last night at the 31st st. pub. good show. could have been a great show, if their gear would have been sorted out. if you’re touring with a 5 piece band and three multi-instrumentalists, maybe don’t try to cram it on 20 square feet of stage?
they were great sports about it, though. nice folks who wrote a great album in their latest, Spiral Shadow.

subwoofer sold separately.
